The ideas and methods behind what I do is a bit of the old and a bit of the new along with my own artistic ways and techniques. I work with a strong crew. Ive built a team,, its not a one man show by any means. I work with long time friend and senior engineer Max Velez who also works as my coproducer. I work with another long time friend Nick Koykas who comes in as an assistant engineer/consultant, guitar preproduction and as a session drummer. I also bring in Mike Heller who is my current #1 session drummer for metal. I also use Mike Heller for drum preproduction when he sits in as the session drummer. For drum editing I work with Cole Martinez who is a master at his trade among other things,, so this is more than just a name when you see JOE HOLLOW PRODUCTIONS.
Yes its my gear,, my vision and my money but its a solid working team that makes all this great. It wouldnt work for us any other way.
I currently have 12 heads to choose from when doing guitar production.
I use Bogner, Soldano, Marshall, Randall, 5150, 5150 III, Cameron,
JSX, Line 6, Krank, and more....
I use a handful of cabinets including the Marshall 25th anniversary Jubilee, Marshall green backs,, Mesa Boogie vintage 30's, EVH 5150 III and so on,,,
